“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” Albert Einstein
I’d have never thought I’d have anything in common with Albert Einstein. Academics was never my jam (especially in math or physics), but like him, I too am passionately curious.
I believe traveling is one of the very best educators, ESPECIALLY solo travel. You have no one to rely on but yourself. You are forced to ask for help, and often. You make mistakes, you learn to recover. You have to trust your gut when something doesn’t seem right, and to self regulate when things go south and you need a new plan. While I’ve never felt especially “school smart”, after traveling for 6 months in Europe on my own and then another 2 months in South East Asia. I know I have a PhD in life smarts, and that’s good enough for me.
Where in the world have I been?
